Yesterday evening the Danish National Symphony Orchestra (website) did the 2nd of Bethoven in concert as a part of their ongoing Thursdaysconcerts-series. Update: Intestingly, there doesn’t seem to be any strings attached to this free download. When DR very succesfully made 9 Mozart symphonies for free download in January 2006, you had to do the downloading with the month the Mozart-”event” was running. With Beethoven here, the offer seems to be for good.

In the same vein: friday DR also announced the availability of certain DR-TV programs on Joost, a new peer-to-peer web TV channel. Today all DR TV channels are availble on the web in realtime via the DR website. This service however is only for surfers, surfing from within Denmark. Putting DR TV on Joost seems to imply that DR are letting go of this restriction as well.
